For one evening, 37 minutes to be exact we got an audience to “Refocus” on Polio, World Hunger, Inequality and Urban Farmers.
The Refocus fashion show was our opportunity to put the spotlight on worthy social causes that unfortunately do not receive a lot of attention. We asked 4 young people to find a social cause that they are passionate about and create the universal symbol for it, we then challenged our 35 role.models with the task of creating their own outfits, simply by answering this question “how would you present this cause, if you were a piece of art?”.
It should be mentioned that this entire project (which started in February) was entirely volunteer and community driven (meaning we had no funding). We had a dedicated team of amazing people that contributed weekly to workshops as facilitators, coaches, and we cannot forget the beautiful people that graced the runway, our 35 role.models.
We.Will.Now strives to create innovative projects that call on all of us to do our part to contribute to global awareness and change.
The project was led entirely by community and that in itself is an achievement
We would like to take this time to thank EVERYONE for their contributions to this project, and to the role.models – you did an amazing job

In true We.Will.Now style we had to send off our visitors with a tasty caribbean breakfast. The breakfast featured: ackee and saltfish, fried dumplings, pancakes, milo (lol), scrambled eggs, and a whole lot of talking.

We took our friends from Haida Gwaii over to our favourite spot in the city – Falstaff, while there Mrs. Patricia engaged our guests in a community art project.
